ChiroPlus was opened in Pinetown by Dr Brett Allison in 2012 and over the next 10 years expanded to include a secondary office in Hillcrest / Waterfall that services the Upper Highway area.
In 2021 Dr Tyron Dicks was hand-picked to join the team at ChiroPlus and in early 2022 Dr Brett Allison relocated to Stellenbosch to further expand the practice. At this point Dr Dicks took on all of our KZN patients. Dr Dicks is available full-time at our Pinetown and Hillcrest offices and Dr Allison is available full-time at our sister practice in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
We provide a modern, comprehensive and evidence-based approach to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the functioning of the nervous system and general health.
Mel manages the practice and handles all administrative duties.
She will be the cheerful and friendly voice answering your call, welcoming you to the practice, and brightening your day.
We offer a full 30 minute consultation which includes assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Our treatment may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, soft tissue massage, dry needling and Shockwave Therapy.
We also provide rehabilitative and preventive stretch and exercise programs.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a clinically proven and highly effective treatment for chronic soft tissue injuries and certain bone conditions.
An extracorporeal shockwave is defined as a non-evasive, non-electrical high energy sound wave that passes through the body via a hand-held probe.
The shock waves produce a rapid increase in blood circulation to the target area and will break down fibrous scar tissue which builds up over time, especially with chronic conditions.
